29 September mmmm... pie17 September OneCare Team VisitToday, a few of the guys from the Windows Live OneCare team came to visit. Nate also came over to meet them and we had a fun chat about our thoughts on OneCare and what we love and hate about it. Hopefully we gave them some good ideas and pointed out some areas they can work on. Digg - Robert Jordan, Wheel of Time author, DiesWell, I've been reading this series since nearly the beginning when it first came out. It's always sad to see a talent leave the world. But others will pick up the torch where he left it and hopefully with the notes he left the series at least will be completed. Every man needs a legacy after all. He will be remembered.
10 September Skagit Young Professionals » Blog Archive » SUNNY SUNDAY HIKEYesterday a few of us went on a hike up Cascade Pass. It was the most grueling, hailing, barefoot, miserable slog through sharp rocks, with 50lbs packs, I've ever experienced... Just kidding. It was actually a lot of fun and I took a lot of photos along the way, mostly on the way back down since I'm out of shape and was huffing and puffing the whole way up. I'm going to be sore from this hike for the next couple days! Anyway, the photos from our little adventure will be on my flickr feed shortly. As usual, I didn't really edit the photos beyond rotating them and doing a few small tweaks here and there. Enjoy! We went to Cascadian Farms' roadside stand for ice cream and smoothies and a brewery on the way back for burgers and brats. I'm going to go to our coffee thing in a few. Technorati tags: Skagit Young Professionals 05 September Mike Swanson's Blog : Bad Design by ExampleYou know, people who design stuff like that really need to be forced to sit in a room with TV screens on all the walls and bombarded with tons of the crap that they design for a few weeks. These guys are actually charging $40-60 per hour for this design! And more for "advanced programming"... I highly doubt they could program their way out of a paper bag if their design and portfolio is any example of their work. Yuck!
